The Louisiana Department of Health has officially renamed the Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities (OCDD) to the Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disability Supports (OIDD). This new name reflects a continued commitment to person-centered support and recognizes the importance of serving individuals with both intellectual and developmental disabilities. While the name has changed, the mission remains the same: to ensure individuals with disabilities have access to the services, supports, and opportunities they need to live, work, and participate fully in their communities. Families can be assured that programs, services, and eligibility requirements remain unchanged during this transition. Together, OIDD will continue working to help individuals achieve their goals, increase independence, and lead meaningful, inclusive lives.
