October is Medicine Abuse Awareness Month

💊🔒 October is Medicine Abuse Awareness Month 🔒💊

This month, we’re raising awareness about the dangers of prescription and over-the-counter medicine misuse, especially among youth. With rising concerns about accidental overdoses and exposure to substances like fentanyl, it’s more important than ever to take action.

🏠 What can YOU do?
– Lock up medications in secure containers
– Dispose of unused meds at community take-back sites
– Talk to your kids about the risks of medicine misuse
– Encourage schools and providers to promote safe practices

📅 Mark your calendar!
🗓️ DEA National Drug Take Back Day is October 25, 2025
📍 Find a drop-off site near you: dea.gov/takebackday

Let’s work together to protect youth, prevent misuse, and keep medicines safe.
