🎉 FPHSA Governing Board Updates 🎉
Florida Parishes Human Services Authority is proud to welcome Dr. Byron Hurst, Ed.D. and Ms. Deborah B. Kropog to our Governing Board — and to announce Mr. David Duplantier as our newly appointed Vice Chair!
🔹 Dr. Byron Hurst (St. Helena Parish) brings over 20 years of educational leadership and currently serves as Superintendent of Bogalusa City Schools. His expertise in governance, child welfare, and operational transparency will be a tremendous asset to our mission.
🔹 Ms. Deborah B. Kropog (Livingston Parish) succeeds Ms. Carol Stafford and brings 40+ years of experience in education and social work. Most recently a School Counselor at Holy Ghost Catholic School, Ms. Kropog is deeply committed to mental health and family support.
🔹 Mr. David Duplantier (St. Tammany Parish), a board member since January 2023, is now Vice Chair. A retired attorney, Mr. Duplantier has served in various leadership roles, including with the Louisiana State Civil Service Commission and the Northshore Court Foundation. He is a passionate advocate for services addressing mental health, addictive disorders, and developmental disabilities.
💙💛🖤 We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Ms. Carol Stafford for her dedicated service representing Livingston Parish from July 2015 to August 2025 — including her leadership as Board Chair (2016–2018) and Vice Chair (2021–2025).
We are honored to have these outstanding leaders guiding our work across the Florida Parishes!
