Who are they?
The Northshore Community Health Systems is a division of Florida Parishes Human Services Authority that provides primary care health services.
Their Mission
To provide access to quality, affordable medical, behavioral, and preventative healthcare to our communities in a setting that is patient-centered, safe, and compassionate.
The Board’s Role
Provides governance and oversight for the operation of the health center to assure the provisions of primary and preventive health care services to the general community an medically underserved populations, without regard to the patient’s ability to pay.
Board Composition
Not less than 51% of Board Members must be consumers (or legal guardians or custodians of an active consumer) Non-Consumer Board Members shall be representative of the community served by
the health center and shall be selected for their expertise in relevant areas, such as local government, community affairs, finance and banking, legal affairs, trade unions, and other commercial and industrial
concerns, or social service agencies with the community.
Applicants Must
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Be available to attend monthly meetings in-person in Hammond, LA
