On Tuesday, September 29, Florida Parishes Human Services Authority participated in Ponchatoula High School’s Mental Health Fair, engaging students in interactive prevention activities and education.
Students were enthusiastic about two hands-on simulations facilitated by our prevention team:
- Fatal Vision: Demonstrating the effects of impaired driving under the influence of THC and alcohol
- Unhealthy Lungs: Highlighting the impact of vaping on lung health
In addition to the simulations, our team provided resources and information on:
- Suicide prevention
- Gambling prevention
- Coping and refusal skills
- Alcohol and drug prevention
