This Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) course is a community sponsored event.   Mental Health Association of Greater Baton Rouge (MHA GBR), Office of Behavioral Health (OBH), the Louisiana Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (LA- AFSP) and Florida Parishes Human Services Authority (FPHSA) are working together to provide this event at no charge to participants.  Without the support and collaboration of these agencies, the cost of providing this workshop would be $350.00 per person.

Space is limited to maintain physical distancing guidelines and pre-registration is required.  If you are unable to attend after you register, please let Danita LeBlanc know.

We will follow all safety recommendations on masking, sanitizing and physical distancing to prevent the spread of Covid.  Properly worn masks are REQUIRED all day.  This course is a skill building one and each part builds on the one before it.  To reap the full benefit of the training and receive credit for attending, you must be present all day both days.   Day 1 starts at 8:00 and Day 2 starts at 8:30.  We end at 4:30 both days.
