FPHSA NEWS

December is National Drunk and Drugged Driving Prevention Month

Also known as National 3D Prevention Month, this observance serves as a reminder to never drive impaired. Celebrating the holidays with friends and family is a special time, so please do so safely! We encourage you to be responsible with your drinking, and not mix alcohol and prescription medicines. According to Louisiana State University’s (LSU) Center for Analytics and Research in Transportation Safety (CARTS), there were 642 alcohol-involved crashes in Louisiana in 2022, including 677 fatalities. Let’s celebrate safely so we can all enjoy many more holidays to come!
